Cranbrook Witches Samhain Market
The Cranbrook Witches Market: Halloween Edition is back for its sixth magical market, set to take place at the Royal Alexandra Hall at the Cranbrook History Centre This enchanting event will be held over the weekend of Friday, October 3rd, and Saturday, October 4th, 2025, celebrating the seasonal energy of Samhain/Halloween.
Samhain, pronounced “Sah-win” or “Sow-win,” is almost exactly halfway between the autumn equinox and the winter solstice. The name "Samhain" originates from an old Irish word meaning “summer’s end,” marking the onset of winter and the end of the harvest season. Also known as the Witches’ New Year, Samhain is a time when the veil between the worlds is thinnest, making it perfect for divination, honouring ancestors, and working with herbs and crystals associated with the season.

Come join your friendly neighbourhood witches for a Halloween weekend of celebrations and art, at the Croatian Cultural Centre, Oct 25th & 26th. Witches Harvest is the first of its kind: a witch-run, spooky season event that welcomes all, but especially the curious and the magical. You are invited to check out the Harvest Market, which will include artisans and makers from around BC. Arrive in costume (or in your most fancy witchy attire) and wander among the tables filled with all the handcrafted treasures that Autumn inspires. Local witchy folk will be available to talk about our favourite time of year, and the beautiful celebration of Samhain!
Witches Harvest is presented by Nightshade Market and Ravens Veil, Commercial Drive's beloved one-stop magic shop. We hope to inspire a sense of community and inclusion at Witches Harvest, let's celebrate the bewitching charm of autumn by supporting local artisans and enjoying the creative spirit of the spooky season together!
